According to the University of Valencia, as an emerging issue, Smart Home Technology and Digital Home, have specific aspects which are not being considered in the actual studies. Professional profiles such as Residential Integrator or Building Services Manager, are very limited, and therefore they have a high demand by different kinds of companies: engineering and technical offices, manufacturer, software development, service providers, etc.

To take care of the demand of professionals, the University of Valencia offers Digital Home and Smart Home Technology Master. The collaboration of different entities and the work of a cloister of professionals, make possible to show the reality of a certainly heterogeneous sector: the availability of forefront technologies, the offer of products, commercial systems and its integration elements, normative aspects which are evolving and have very high importance in this area, training profiles in skills of professionals development demanded by the sector, and finally, the new business models linked to the Digital Home development and the opportunities derived from them.
